Lye Yit is a seasoned data centre design and engineering leader with over 20 years of experience across the Asia-Pacific region. He currently serves as VP, Design Delivery at Bridge Data Centres, where he leads the strategic planning, design delivery and implementation of resilient and sustainable data centre infrastructure to support the region’s rapidly evolving digital economy.
Prior to his current role, Lye Yit held senior engineering and design positions at global technology and real estate firms, including Microsoft (MEP Manager and Senior Electrical Engineer), CBRE (Global Engineering Program Manager and Operations Director) and Thomson Reuters (critical services and IT estate management). These roles have anchored his expertise in electrical engineering, mission-critical systems, and cross-functional project leadership across hyperscale, enterprise and managed colocation environments.
Lye Yit holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from The University of Oklahoma (USA) and is widely recognised for his thought leadership in data centre design innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence. He is a frequent speaker at industry forums, where he shares practical insights on future-ready infrastructure, energy efficiency and scalable architecture for next-generation data centres.
