Ezraila Mohamad Isa is a seasoned power and energy professional with over 27 years of experience across power generation, transmission, asset management, and energy transition initiatives. As Chief Operating Officer at Leader Energy, she oversees a diversified portfolio of renewable energy and transmission assets across Southeast Asia, including solar, hydro, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and high-voltage transmission infrastructure. Her role focuses on ensuring operational reliability, strengthening technical capabilities, and supporting the Group’s long-term growth as an integrated renewable energy platform.
Having worked across more than 6.5GW of conventional and renewable energy assets, Ezraila brings extensive expertise in optimising asset performance, strengthening governance frameworks, and delivering operational excellence across complex multi-country portfolios. She has been instrumental in driving initiatives that enhance asset reliability, improve performance efficiency, and support the integration of new technologies to strengthen grid stability and energy resilience.
Her experience spans utility-scale power generation and energy solutions, including solar, thermal, biogas, and energy efficiency projects. She is recognised for her disciplined and practical approach to operations, ensuring projects are delivered with strong safety, quality, and reliability standards while supporting the transition towards lower-carbon energy systems.
Ezraila is a Member of the Malaysian Photovoltaic and Sustainable Energy Industry Association (MPSEA). A Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and ISO 14064 GHG Practitioner, she holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Imperial College London. She brings an operations-focused perspective to industry discussions on renewable energy integration, energy storage deployment, and operational discipline in enabling scalable, reliable energy systems.
