Joel is a Managing Director and Partner at BCG, specializing in energy transition, climate, and sustainability. With experience across both the public and private sectors, he brings holistic perspectives to governments and organisations across ASEAN navigating energy transition. At the national level, Joel has advised governments on a range of topics — including national energy policy, energy transition roadmaps, and Net Zero pathways — balancing across the energy trilemma of security, sustainability, and equity whilst ensuring a just and equitable transition. On the private sector side, Joel has supported companies to translate climate commitments into action, spanning Science Based Targets (SBTi), renewable energy procurement, and sustainable supply chains. Joel has also been an active contributor to the dialogue on the ASEAN Power Grid, including at regional forums such as the ASEAN Energy Business Forum (AEBF) and WEF-ACE roundtables, covering topics from regulatory enablers and market mechanisms to project bankability and financing structures.
