Mr Kevin Shawn Fernandez is the Vice President of Group Sustainability & Strategic Partnerships for Alliance Bank Malaysia Berhad. His focus is to work with external partnerships to deliver value both to them and the clients of the bank. In this role, Alliance Bank has launched the Sustainability Impact Programme (SIP) that enables businesses in Malaysia to improve their sustainability capabilities, ratings and profile, making them more resilient and competitive in the market. The approach for sustainability adoption is based on the bank’s 3As pillars of Advocacy, Advisory and Answers. Supported by key industry partners, that he has built strong collaboration programs with, which include Bursa Malaysia, UN Global Compact Network Malaysia Brunei, Malaysia Green Technology Corporation, InvestSarawak and Monash University. He has over 20 years of banking industry experience covering the areas of product development, portfolio management, digital and strategic partnerships. During this time, he has spearheaded change and transformation in the industry. Prior to this, he was with OCBC and Standard Chartered bank. He seeks to collaborate with businesses and ecosystems to develop innovative approaches towards mutually achieving new customer growth, revenue expansion and cost efficiency.
